About Reclamite

Asphalt Pavement Rejuvenating Agent

Reclamite has been used successfully for over 40 years. Whether you are dealing with asphalt pavement in the hot, dry southwest United States, humid southern and southeast states or the damp and colder climates experienced in northern climates and Canada, application results are similar; improved durability of the asphalt, (durability being the interdependence between composition and aging), re-balancing the chemistry of the oxidized pavement, ability to delay the aging process and reverse premature aging.

Benefits of Reclamite:new image

  • Restores the proper balance between the five Asphalt components.
  • Restores Flexibility and Ductility to the top portion of old, brittle Pavement.
  • Stops Raveling and Stripping of the Aggregate.
  • Seals the surface and ‘in depth’ against intrusion of Air and Water elements.
  • Extends service Life of Pavement 4-6 years.
  • Minimal disruption to Traffic and Residents.
  • Higher rate of return on your Investments, more cost effective on your Budget.
  • No Pavement repainting or striping lines required.
  • Its EPA acceptable.
  • Also Well Proven in Airport and Runway applications.

Reclamite is a maltene based, cationic emulsion with a built in surfactant designed to penetrate asphalt 3/8-1.5”. The product is shot with a Distributer truck on the surface with penetration in 10-20mins depending on temperature. The chemical components in Reclamite restore the asphaltene / maltene balance which have leached out over time due to oxidation, water, traffic and weathering causing the road to become dry and brittle, which then starts the deterioration process. Restoring these chemicals allows the road to self-heal, becoming more flexible and ductile to flat line the PCI index and maintain the pavement in good condition and extend the life before any additional rehabilitative maintenance is required. A great secondary benefit is that Reclamite also acts as a traditional sealer against air and water protecting the pavement, the difference to normal seal coats being that due to Reclamites penetration feature.
